Boxing for Parkinson's
England Boxing has launched a new national initiative designed specifically to support people living with Parkinson’s through structured, non-contact boxing–based exercise. Alive ABC is proud to be one of the first clubs to deliver this programme locally.

This initiative is built on growing evidence that targeted physical activity can significantly reduce symptoms, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life for those with Parkinson’s. Sessions focus on balance, coordination, flexibility, strength and cognitive stimulation — all areas commonly affected by the condition.

At Alive ABC, classes are delivered by trained coaches in a safe, supportive environment where participants can build confidence, stay active, and connect with others who understand the challenges of living with Parkinson’s. The programme not only improves physical wellbeing but also supports mental health by reducing isolation and boosting mood through positive social interaction.

This is more than a fitness class — it’s a life-changing opportunity to stay strong, stay mobile and stay connected. Boxing is proving to be one of the most empowering tools in helping people manage Parkinson’s, and we’re proud to bring this initiative to our community.
